At the Ricky Proehl P.O.W.E.R. of Play Foundation, we are reminded how blessed we are during this season of giving. However, we are also reminded of families in our community that are not as fortunate. “I had feared that Christmas would be just another reminder of loss and grief, but thanks to your foundation and all who contributed the magic of Christmas remained” ~Wendy (Santa’s Helpers recipient) The holidays can be a time of anxiety and uncertainty for many, but you can help grant a child’s wish this Christmas and be a blessing to a family in need by participating in our Santa’s Helpers program.
This year, Santa and Mrs.Claus will be at Proehlific Park on Thursday, Dec. 8th,2022 from 4-6 PM.
In 2022, 335 foster children were provided Christmas assistance.
We gave 335 children gifts this year which is up from 285 last year. We gave to children from the Children's Home Society, DSS, and other needy children in the community. Thank you to Hanes Brands for donating socks and underwear for the children, Westover Church, DH Griffin Companies, Reynold’s Orthodontics, and Battleground Eye Care, The Needham Group for their continued support in purchasing gifts and for all of the monetary donations! We couldn’t have made it happen without all of the wonderful support.
