In 1993, while playing for the NFL Arizona Cardinals, my wife Kelly and I chose Greensboro, N.C. as our home. Little did we know that we would be extremely blessed to have a NFL playing career that would span 17 years and include additional seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, St. Louis Rams, Carolina Panthers and the Indianapolis Colts. Our time in the NFL continued with coaching for the Carolina Panthers as the Wide Receivers coach. We were blessed to go to 5 Super Bowls throughout our journey in the NFL.
While coaching our children in recreational and travel sports, I recognized the need in the Triad for a sports complex that would enable kids to learn the unlimited and priceless benefits of free play. The premise of Proehlific Park is based on the value of free play for kids but we also offer a multitude of other programs including Family and Adult Fitness Memberships, After School Programming, Summer Care, Assisted Scholarships, Sports Performance Training, Specific Sport Training, Personal Training, Year-Round Camps, Free Concerts, Charity Events, Rec Leagues, Academic Tutoring, Christian Ministry and on and on. Through the Park, I have the privilege of sharing the knowledge I have gained from some of the world’s best coaches and athletes with Triad youth.
As parents of three children, we understand every parent wants nothing but the best for their children. At Proehlific Park, not only is our goal to help children achieve their best athletically, but also to assist families in raising academically, spiritually and emotionally well-rounded children.
