BASKETBALL

Our Youth Recreational Basketball League is one of our most popular programs! We have a Winter (November-February), Spring (March-June) and Summer (July-September) league so your son or daughter can play throughout the year! Our league gives young athletes the opportunity to learn basic skills, fundamentals and sportsmanship. Teams are grouped by age and ability. These youth basketball leagues fill up fast! Questions about registration please contact Katie Allegro additional league questions please contact Steve Shelton, email is best for a prompt response.

    WINTER 2019-2020 Basketball League Details

K/1st Grade Coed: There are no evaluations for this division and teams will be assembled randomly while honoring requests. The season will consist of eight games with no post season tournament. The first four game dates will be on one-and-a-half-hour time slots where each team will practice for forty minutes then play a game for the remaining time. The last four game dates teams will not practice prior to playing their game (one-hour time slots).

RECREATION DIVISION: The Rec Division is for beginners and novice level players. Teams are balanced as best as possible based on evaluations, while honoring special requests. NOTE* Special requests are not guaranteed, but will be attempted to accommodate.

CHALLENGE DIVISION: Those looking for a more competitive game, bring a pre-assembled team or be placed on a team.

TEAM FEE: Practice elsewhere, play games at the Park and we provide team shirts. All Teams Must have an adult age 21+ as a head coach and they are required to be present on the bench at all times during games.

EVALUATIONS: We request that everyone attends ONE of the evaluation sessions for your division, EXCEPT if you are on a pre-assembled team for CHALLENGE DIVISION. Even if you are to be on a certain coach’s rec team, please attend evaluations. This is a tremendous help for our staff during the assembling of teams. *K/1st grade-there are no evaluations for this division.*

TEAM FORMATION: Once evaluations are wrapped up, we will be working very diligently for the next week to assemble the teams. Please be patient with us while we are working on the teams during this time frame. Once this is finalized, we will contact you and let you know who your coach will be and what team you will be on as well as what your normal weekday practice night will be.

ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS: Questions about registration please contact Katie Allegro additional league questions please contact Steve Shelton, email is best for a prompt response.

CP3 Academy Skills & Drills Now Expanding At Proehlific Park!

Monday - Thursday Nights From 5:30-6:30pm

Skills & Drills is the “meat and potatoes” of our organization, where athletes are given information to improve their basketball IQ and their game. That information is applied and implemented in an immediate setting, then taken and worked on as often as possible to create habit and instinct in basketball functions.

There are up to 40 athletes in a session, so a very common talking point is to “compete not compare.” Athletes are constantly reminded that their individual improvement is based on their work ethic and attitude, and not the athlete next to them.
